This is how you make banana nut bread. Start by adding the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix it all up with a fork and put aside. Next, add the butter or margarine, along with the sugar to large bowl. And beat up with an electric whisk for about 5 minutes. You can soften the butter in the microwave to make it blend more easily. You want the mixture to get light and fluffy. Break in the eggs and add the vanilla extract. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix it all until it's blended well together. Now, add the flour, and milk. And continue to mix until you have a smooth thick batter. Next, add the bananas and the walnuts, and give it a good stir. The bananas should be ripe and soft, but not brown and mushy. Grease a loaf pan and spoon in the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Or until a tooth pick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the banana bread cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes, before removing it from the pan to cool completely.
